Dear Madam, Sir,

Herewith we are proud to inform you that we are participating in the Holland Flowers Festival for the 79th time this year, which takes place from February 22 till 26, 2012. We have been participating in this exhibition since its first edition in 1933.

The Holland Flowers Festival is judged by an expert jury each year, and once again Jan de Wit en Zonen B.V. was awarded with many prizes during the official opening yesterday. We are especially proud to inform you that we won the Silver Boat award for the best overall display. This is one of the most important awards.

We were also glad to be awarded with the Silver Iris award for the best irises. Below we have selected the prizes from the jury’s report:

- Group A: tulips 101 boxes and more, 1st Prize, 9.30 points
- Hyacinths, 1st Prize, 8.60 points
- Narcissus, 1st Prize, 9.00 points
- Mixed group, 1st Prize, 9.40 points
- Cut tulip flowers, 1st Prize, 8.70 points
- Other cut flowers, 1st Prize, 9.00 points
- Lilies, 1st Prize, 9.20 points
- Silver Tulip, 2nd Prize, 9.30 points
- Irises, 1st Prize (Silver Iris), 8.70 points
- Silver Boat for best overall display

This year the theme of the Holland Flowers Festival is India, the country of the famous Taj Mahal with a multiplicity of cultures. Besides, India is an ever growing market for flower bulbs. The exhibition was opened by the ambassador of India, Her Excellency Ms. Bhaswati Mukherjee.

On the surprisingly arranged bulb flower exhibition the sounds and colours of India can be experienced, with beautiful displays that inspire and intrigue. The glitter and glamour of Bollywood can be experienced as well.
