Herewith we can inform you the following about the growing of the tulips till now.

Planting time:
The tulips where planted under good conditions and on time. The structure of the soil was good.
During planting it was dray so rooting was a bit slow, early December all the bulbs were planted and the rain came.
After this rain the bulbs rooted well.

Winter:
The winter started with higher temperature than normal. The real winter came just the end of January.
For two week the average temperature day time was -7°C and night was -12°C with max -20°C.
After this strong Winter periods it came back to normal.

At this moment.
At this moment temperatures are 8°C to 10°C on day time.
Night temperatures are from 2°C till 6°C.
Till now we can inform that the tulips are the same growing development than last year.
The soil is wet enough and to the forecast is expecting some more rain coming.

Bulb and flower prices:
Prices of the Tulip bulbs are stable but a bit low. Now it will depend what the flower prices will do in March and April.
The flower prices were very cheap in the beginning of the season. (December, January, February.)
This last week flower prices are back to normal, Euro 0,14 a stem.
