Onings Test-greenhouse, crop 2003
Above you see a picture of our test-greenhouse.
Like every year we have planted 30 bulbs of each lot of lilies, crop 2003.
As you can see all bulbs were planted in the open soil and high density.
The target of this planting is to see the differences between each lot.
For that reason we try to plant and grow like most professional Dutch cut-flower-growers.
Please be informed that in our greenhouse 2838 lots of lilies were planted.
In total 516 different varieties can be found.
172 Oriental Hybrids
26 OT Hybrids
187 Asiatic-Hybrids
102 LA-Hybrids
17 longiflorum
12 species
All Oriental lilies and OT-Hybrids were planted January 29th and 30th.
All others were planted February 19th and 20th, 2004.
We expect flowering during the lily-exhibition at the Keukenhof park, where also our
company will have a display.
Herewith we like to invite all bulb-, cutflower-growers and flower-sellers to see
our greenhouse at our open-days in May 2004.
