件名 : ★ Haakman Flowerbulbs , Crop 2016 information.

Herewith we like to inform you the following about crop 2016 and weather conditions.

Finally all tulip bulbs are planted.
Haakman was informed that some growers had problems with planting there last bulbs because of too wet conditions of the fields. There was a lot of rain in November and it did not dry-up well till half December.
Now we are at the end of December but now the temperatures are very strange.

October average was about 9°C, November was also 9°C and December average till now is 9,9°C!!
The nature is totally up-side-down.
Butterflies are seen, Cherry blossoms are blooming(from of Haakman office) , some Narcissuses are flowering , first tulip noses are coming out of the soil , apple trees are start to bloom , ...............

The weather experts are telling us that next week maybe some lower temperatures will come.

It is still very early to say what this temperatures will do to the tulip crop of 2016 but we like to keep you informed.
Haakman also expects a small increase of total HA Tulips in Holland. (2 to 3% up)
This because the flower growers in Holland are increasing their sales.

Please note also that the big Tulip Trade Event will take place in 2016.
This big Tulip event is from 30 March till 1 April 2016.
