件名 : update harvest season and stage development.

Dear Mr Moriyama,

Please find update on harvest season and Stage G.

We are receiving many bulbs for dry sale orders at this moment.
The condition of bulbs looks good. Skin condition is nice and until this moment, very little Fusarium has been found.
In general growers are delivering the quantities they estimated.
Harvest conditions for sandy soil fields are good. Clay soil fields are becoming very dry and hard. Some growers have to water before harvest to make soil more soft.
Compared to previous years, many lot numbers are delivered almost two weeks later than normal. We do our best to prepare the bulbs for shipping immediately.

We are checking stage G formation at this moment.
It is very slow, and we have not seen such slow development for many years. Even Zeeland and Plastic tulips are developing very slow.
Especially the cool weather until early July has influenced the formation. From early July, the temperatures increased but it is too late to compensate to normal stage G development.

Technical stage development information:
Special Early: Now in A1, A2.
Plastic ; Now in P1, P2.
Zeeland; No development.
Normal; No development.

Generally we can conclude at this moment that the delay is about 2,5 weeks.
It makes the early planting weeks very difficult to treat. At this moment we cannot judge the actual plant weeks for early tulips yet. It is too early. We will keep you informed in the upcoming weeks.

Tulip forcing companies in Holland are very worried about production of early flowers. Christmas is important time to start with Tulip, but many lot numbers will not reach stage G in time to produce flowers early.

We will closely check Stage G for all lot numbers and inform you about the actual planting weeks for all orders.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Attached several pictures as impression of bulbs that have been delivered already.

Best regards,
Andre Rutte.
